On November 13, 2018, filmmaker Amy Adrion visited Tufts for a series of speaking events that culminated in a screening of her documentary, Half the Picture. The film, which premiered at Sundance, explores the recent triumphs and continuing challenges facing female filmmakers in the professional world. The event was hosted by Tufts Women in Filmmaking, along with Tufts Professor of the Practice Jennifer Burton of Five Sisters Production. The following is a digital diary of her day at Tufts.

The essence of Amy's visit was captured by the new Tufts' podcast Tell Me More, where she elaborated on the gender imbalance that exists in the film industry. She was also featured in Tufts Now, "Tell Me More: Breaking Up the Hollywood Boys Club".
